Rehabilitation


Physical, Occupational, and Speech Therapy

The Rehab Department at Riverside Medical Center provides comprehensive physical and occupational therapy services to people of all ages. Speech therapy is provided on a limited basis.

Common diagnoses/conditions treated include orthopedic injuries to the upper and lower extremities, strokes, burns, arthritis, pain, work injuries, amputations, and sports injuries.

Riverside Medical Center's Outpatient Rehab Department is located across the street from the hospital on Riverside Drive in a spacious facility. It is a 5000 square foot facility that includes 4 private treatment rooms, a hydrotherapy area, and a large gym with state of the art equipment. The gyms exercise equipment consists of a full line of Cybex strengthening equipment, elliptical trainers, stationary cycles, treadmills, and balance training equipment. All staff are licensed and trained in their respective rehab fields.

 

Cardiac Rehabilitation


Cardiac Rehab Manager: Bethany Seal, RN
Staff: Consists of 3 Licensed Therapists


Cardiac Rehab is an exercise and education program designed for those who have suffered a heart event. It combines telemetry monitoring while performing exercises including but not limited to NuStep, Armbike, Stationary bike, Treadmill, free weights and resistance bands. Throughout the program, you will also receive education on ways to reduce your cardiac risk factors. Each patient also receives a consult with both the Registered Dietician and Social Worker. The program is individualized for each patient to achieve personal level of peak health after a heart related incident. The program consists of up to 36 visits, 3 times per week and is medically supervised daily.
