ACCOUNTING TECH 1

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Accounting Tech I shall be primarily responsible for accounting functions of the hospital accounting systems as well as other accounting functions as needed.

Organize accounting records such as registers, ledgers, journals and individual account information.
Manage schedules of standard objectives, financial statements and reports

Carry out job duties on spreadsheets, online database and all accounting software.

Accounts payable functions such as the ability to identify and correct invoice-purchase order discrepancies, assign
vendor numbers, prepare vouchers, prepare checks, assign cost distribution codes and keep accurate detailed records.

Observe professional ethics in maintaining confidential information acquired concerning the personal, financial, medical, or employment status of patients and team members of Riverside Medical Center and their families.

QUALIFICATIONS

Must possess a high school education or equivalent.
Minimum requirement of at least two years of experience in accounting functions. In a hospital or medically related environment preferred.

Must be able to follow directions and to perform work according to department standards when no directions are given.

Must be emotionally mature and able to function effectively under stress.
