Position Summary
The Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) provides specialized respiratory care to patients with cardiopulmonary conditions. This role is responsible for assessing, treating, monitoring, and evaluating patients while collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care.

Qualifications
• Current Louisiana Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) license required.
• Minimum of two years of hospital or healthcare-related experience preferred.
• Strong clinical assessment, communication, and patient care skills.
• Ability to work independently and follow department policies, procedures, and standards.
• Demonstrated critical-thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions in high-pressure situations.
• Strong teamwork and organizational skills.
• Emotional maturity and the ability to function effectively under stress.

Key Responsibilities
• Assess, treat, and monitor patients with respiratory and cardiopulmonary disorders.
• Administer respiratory therapies, treatments, and diagnostic procedures as prescribed.
• Evaluate patient responses to treatment and communicate findings to physicians and care team members.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Provide consultation, education, and technical support to medical, nursing, and ancillary staff.
• Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation.
• Adhere to all safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
• Support efficient department operations and quality patient outcomes.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
