Position Summary
The Medical Assistant supports the delivery of quality patient care by assisting providers and coordinating daily clinic operations. This role combines clinical and administrative responsibilities, including patient registration, appointment scheduling, medical record management, and patient care support to ensure an efficient and positive patient experience.

Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Certification from the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) preferred.
• Two years of Medical Assistant experience preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and follow department standards and procedures.
• Proficiency with electronic medical records and basic computer applications.
• Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities
• Assist providers with patient care and duties appropriate to training and certification.
• Register patients, schedule appointments, and collect co-payments and insurance information.
• Maintain accurate and complete medical records, including scanning and documentation.
• Obtain and review medical records before appointments to support quality care initiatives.
• Work collaboratively with providers and staff to promote efficient clinic operations.
• Protect the confidentiality of patient, financial, medical, and employment information.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by clinic leadership.
