POSITION: RN - MED SURG

RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Registered Nurse shall be responsible for planning, supervising and evaluating the nursing care of patients and for correlating the nursing process, the medical plan of care, and policies.

Observe professional ethics in maintaining confidential information acquired concerning the personal, financial, medical, or employment status of patients of Riverside Medical Center and their families.

Must follow accepted safety practices for patients and hospital.

Must report safety hazards and initiate appropriate action.

Must participate in safety instructional programs.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Must possess a current Louisiana Registered Nurse license and exhibit proficiency in nursing care and oral communications.

Must be able to adapt to a changing environment, work independently, handle high stress, show good reasoning and good judgment, and function as a Team Member.

Must be able to follow directions and to perform work according to department standards when no directions are given.

Must be emotionally mature and able to function effectively under stress.

Must have current BLS (CPR and AED), Advanced Cardiac Life Support, and Pediatric Advanced Life Support certifications.
