Position Summary

The Transporter provides essential patient support services within the Radiology Department. This role is responsible for safely transporting patients, assisting with department workflow, supporting record management and communications, and helping ensure an efficient and positive patient experience.

Qualifications
-High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
-Minimum of two years of experience in a hospital, healthcare, or medically related environment preferred.
-Strong customer service and communication skills.
-Ability to safely transport patients and assist with mobility needs.
-Ability to follow department policies, procedures, and standards with minimal supervision.
-Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
-Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
-Emotional maturity and the ability to function effectively under stress.

Key Responsibilities
-Safely transport patients to and from the Radiology Department and other designated areas.
-Assist patients throughout the imaging process while ensuring comfort, dignity, and safety.
-Support departmental communications, record keeping, and processing activities.
-Assist with the release, return, and management of imaging records and related documentation.
-Utilize knowledge of radiology systems, procedures, and department workflows to support daily operations.
-Maintain accurate documentation and assist with clerical duties as assigned.
-Observe professional ethics and maintain strict confidentiality of all patient, family, medical, financial, and employment information in accordance with HIPAA regulations and
Riverside Medical Center policies.
-Follow all safety policies and procedures and report hazards or concerns promptly.
-Provide courteous and professional service to patients, visitors, physicians, and staff.
-Perform additional duties as assigned.
